I think he is getting overly criticised, he was actually OK at Palace, its just that he got caught in possession and that was the only thing people remembered about him. I think he was fine today, Watford have a very physical central midfield and he got stuck in. The only thing I would say is that as the game went on he seemed to drop a little deep for me, he was almost playing as a third CB, I'm not sure if this was an instruction from the manager or his own decision though
....I get the impression Silva particularly rates him. We might be a bit stretched in this area and Gbamin has been open about not yet being fully fit, yet Silva has thrown him into the deep end, despite having Davies available. Much different approach to how Kean is being handled.

The sort of rustiness we’re seeing is what is normally ironed out when a transfer can be made at the beginning of pre-season not the end.
I like him. No bad thing that he's such a good size as well.
He will be brilliant I think. Ideally he wouldn't be starting now but he's had to. I particularly liked him bullying a Watford player off the ball. Was like a Gueye type tackle. Once he's up to speed, we'll forget Gueye. Also, although they've been misplaced, he has a passing range.
Does anyone else remember the games Vs Watford last year, we out muscled out battled and lacked any real significant presence in midfield a loss and a draw. Simply put we were out grocked by them in midfield last year.
