This has been an absolute disaster of a signing, we are talking Bilic / Danny Williamson levels of disaster.

Yep. I play table tennis very competitively - England ranked as a youngster , played the European champion and still play in 2 leagues. I tore my achillies a few years back. Took me 4 months before I could walk properly and despite extensive rehab I have never been able to get back to the same level of fitness. In particular I just can't get up on my toes. Interestingly 2 years later I strained my other achillies which was put down to over compensating.
Obviously JPG will get excellent medical treatment ( well hopefully this is Everton ) but those 2 injuries combined are tough.

One would hope so, looking very unlikely we will see him play this side of New Year.if at all.

Getting midfield bodies in helps allow him the time and space he needs to get fit.

I've not given up hope he can at least become a useful squad player. If he has another setback with his rehab, it could be very tough for him to come back.
