Seeing as he wouldn't be replacing a 23 year old Gueye, that seems a bit silly.Can anyone comparing him to Gueye please compare him to a 23 year old Gueye. Cheers!
His agent said the other month the reason why an elite club havent paid the money for him is because nobody is sure of his position and that he needs to play centre back...
Wasn't that his 'agent' who doesn't represent him?
I noticed and im fully aware it means nothing, but it did surprise me, but his value on transfermarkt was 25.5m.
Which is quite big for a player nobody had heard of a week ago.
Bernard Collignon;
He's said it a few times.
“In January 2018, Klopp called Mainz and wanted to commit him as a centre-back, who also helps out in midfield,” he said.
“He is on many shortlists,” Collignon said during an interview with Fussball Transfers. “However, not as a top candidate because his exact position is unclear. In my opinion, he is a player worth 60 million euros. It’s time for him to play as a centre-back.”
Im sorry to say but theres a MASSIVE difference between them, stat wise.

Jean-Philippe Gbamin to Everton? Former Klopp target could be much more than just a Gueye replacement | Squawka
Is Jean-Philippe Gbamin the right man to replace Idrissa Gueye at Everton? We've taken a look at the numbers behind the Mainz midfielder.www.squawka.com
Like a 10 year old kid or something trying to act cool to impress his girlfriend lol,or probably what some do on hereWhy has his agent tucked his jeans into his socks the scruffy meff
....I do think it’s misleading to simply compare stats. I appreciate both play in the same position, but I suggest they are different ‘types’.
I have it in my mind that Brands/Silva wanted real athleticism in central midfield, a player with a stride that covers ground and ‘makes the pitch look small’. Often we play teams who run through and past us. Perhaps Gbamin will give us a different dimension because he’s a different type.
He'll be well liked as long as he hassles the living 'beep' out of every player in our half and kicks a few players and aggressively pleads his innocence to the ref.
