2025/26 Jarrad Branthwaite

That's a week David...

Probably means end of Jan.

Pulls a hamstring in pre season and we don’t see him until February. Only the Everton medical team. Isak will probably end up back before him. Absolutely zero faith in our medical set up, their track record is abysmal. Can’t keep anyone fit, can’t get people back from injury quickly, can’t keep them fit once they come back.

This is just what every fan thinks of their club's medical department though isn't it haha?

If we're being fair, the players who struggle to stay fit and take a while to come back from injury are always the same ones (like Branthwaite, Coleman) and the ones who are magically always available or return promptly if they do pick up a knock are also always the same (like Keane and Tarkowski).

The patterns are with the players, not the medical department.

I'm interested to know if that claim is statistically justified or just a feeling.

Exactly, every fan of every club in the land thinks they have worse medical team and have worse luck with injuries than every other club in the league. They also think the same about refereeing decisions. Their should be a term for this sort of phenomena. Main character syndrome proximity bias or something i.e. people only notice/remember/over emphasise the bad things that happen to them and not to others.
