Perhaps not. I think he will if we offer one with a release clause as it covers us both.
The release clause is rarely favourable to both parties at the same time though. There's no point in us putting a release clause in for less than our actual asking price because that would be ridiculous, so the release clause would almost certainly be more than we would ask for if we got a bid tomorrow. On that basis there isn't necessarily any benefit to him agreeing to it, because it makes it less likely he gets his move (if he wanted one, of course).

I think we'll get another season out of him, where's some form of gentleman's agreement will have been struck with him and his agent.
If Everton has done one thing right over the years, they have made themselves a players club and they are usually very player friendly with transfers. We do not tend to hold players hostage and maybe Jarrad will see that.

Its one of them mate,as long agents games aren't being played IE Barkley and the likes,if everyone gets round the table and comes to a gentleman's agreement you'd like to think everything can be done in the right way.

But....thats me living in an idealistic world.

In an ideal world wed keep him for sure. Future captain and england international, and all that.
But in reality, if moyes is allowed all the transfer money from selling him to add to whatever money we get for summer signings, needing several quality players in the summer, it has to be considered.

We’ve had him a season longer than I expected. The offers will be interesting as he was better last season than this one, but it’s 2 years of proven quality now so teams won’t be as worried.
Ideally if we decide to sell we’d be better waiting until he gets games for England, that instantly gets you more.
