Branthwaite is still a novice and will not be at his peak for possibly another five or six years.
Anybody criticising mistakes he makes is simply looking for reasons to complain.

Of course he makes mistakes, every player does, as players age and gain experience they make less and less.
If he has a manager that wants him to play some football on the ground he will get better at that also.

I think that the change of manager improves the chances of him signing an extension.

he’s staying. we don’t need to sell

moyes is an attraction and i think our current players see it

and our new ones will

JB will atleast give us one more

If we have to sell him, we should wait to see how much that Hujsen of Bournemouth sells for. That should indicate the going rate for young CB's with high potential in today's market. Rather not sell him tho.

Can’t see anyone but Spurs, Chelsea or Norway being able to buy him to be honest.

As a rule from this point on we shouldn’t sell to Spurs, Villa or Newcastle.
What about if the rumours about Real are true? I dont want to sell him i think him and jake would be an immense pairing at CB

Be surprised if Real dropped £70 mill GBP on a centre half mate.

Their style is to tap up a player a year before their contract runs down and get them for little or nothing or free.
Apart from Bellingham and Tchouameni (obviously not CBs) but £110m and £80m shows they will spend on quality or potential.

@COYBL25 - davekwatch. On Branthwaite now.
Anything Everton supporters are positive about = fair game.

Took a kick in the sphere's the other day though, which was good.

I mean re Branners, I'm just quite amazed about O'Brien as well. We could have a decade out of these two, and they don't take any messing. It's just so Everton, it's just so Moyes, Weir & Stubbs, Jags & Lescott, Jags & Distin. For a club that gets so much so wrong, we've often done the CB partnership so well. Gough, Watson, and the mighty of the 80's.
