He’s had a pretty good career - England caps, starting defender for a major club, etc. There’s no doubting he’s struggled, but I personally think there’s enough there to suggest he can be fixed to a good standard by coaching.

Here and Burnley he’s had Dyche, Koeman, Allardyce, Benitez, Lampard who were all crap at the job but also had another great in Ancelotti and a good but naive coach in Silva
