He did, but that would have been an irrelevance if Branthwaite had cut the cross out.

He might not have been as blazingly good as last season but. We've been more attacking this season, which has taken the pressure off him. He also is maturing well imo, and becoming very composed on the ball.

Jarrad is going to have to lead the defence for the rest of the season (probably). Will be a good challenge for him to be the main communicator.

Just crossing fingers that Tarkowski hasn't got a badly torn hamstring. With his earlier back problems it's possible their pairing mightn't be that long term.

Had to have a big conversation with my Liverpool supporting pals last night about how we are going to have to try and keep ahold of him.

It was met with, if he has any ambition he will leave you and the player holds all the cards. So frustrating as they are probably correct. We need to have a go next season at the cadburys caramel cup or whatever cos I’m telling you what he will he the next one going if we don’t show some bloody ambition.
