January Transfer Window 2026

This was always going to be a season of transition.Let's not get away from the fact we were in 12 months ago.Today people are crying cos we didn't go 4th.Mid table or top 8 is a good season.Loan/buy a Striker in Jan and see what happens.

Yep. Like it or not, we are currently a mid table team and will finish somewhere been 8th (good) and 13th (poor), but we are in an objectively better position than we were 12 months ago.

It's OK to acknowledge our obvious shortcomings and frustrations while also acknowledging the fact things are much brighter than they were. Multiple things can be true.

I have zero faith in us making any good signings in this window. It's a tougher market than the Summer and look how much money we've spunked up the wall on that.

I don't know who bangs heads over our transfer dealings, presumably it's all of them. Well they need to be asking questions of each other because it's ruined our season.

Its Mid December and i can say will real belief we won’t be relegated! First time for 4-5 seasons i could make such a statement.

Thats both a sign of progress and how far we’ve fallen.

The squad needs huge investment and likely 4-5 more good windows to where we can go to chelsea with belief not just hope.

Ownership is stable, no debt…no everton in crisis articles every week. Its slow but it is progress

Don't come on here with your common sense!!!! Apparently, one week we are getting relegated (and moyes is to blame) followed by a decent win then we are only 1 half decent striker away from champions league!!

Put a fully fit Branthwaite and Rohl into this team instead of Keane and Gana and it would make a world of difference.

We’re not that far away. A good right back, JOB alongside Branthwaite, new left back, Rohl KDH Alcaraz, Ndiaye Grealish out wide, and either Barry finding form or a new striker and it’s not far from a decent 11.

Rohl over Garner 🤔

We didnt have a transfer commitee to bang heads over the summer .
We have now.

I think we need a boss CM more than anything, someone that is even better than Garner and someone that can replace Gueye because his replacement really ought to be on the agenda already.

For the remainder of this season Garner can be used as a RB; he's not the best there but he is capable of actually delivering a cross into the box and we really need that.

I'm not denying the need for new fullbacks and a striker etc, but I just don't think we are strong enough at CM, and finding and purchasing a quality but out of favour CM may be easier, and more beneficial, than searching for these elusive fullbacks and centre forwards that are seemingly like needles in haystacks.
