January Transfer Window 2026

Yep. Like it or not, we are currently a mid table team and will finish somewhere been 8th (good) and 13th (poor), but we are in an objectively better position than we were 12 months ago.

It's OK to acknowledge our obvious shortcomings and frustrations while also acknowledging the fact things are much brighter than they were. Multiple things can be true.
We are a striker away from challenging for Europe, mid table from the last few years is a good progression. Moyes got everyone’s hopes up with the good job he done last year. Unfortunately a lot of our fans don’t understand realism and expected us to go from Dyche and relegation to the likes of Tuchel, Pep and Europe.

How is this myth still perpetuating when people are watching our fullbacks weekly 😩

Genuine question… are ppl saying our full backs can’t defend or can’t be the modern day full?
If the former then yes, a Lukaku type striker wouldn’t get us top 8 but if the latter then one would.
Our defence is pretty solid so the fb are doing their primary jobs.
Our strikers aren’t scoring, with decent service so therefore that’s the primary problem.

Because we are 4 points off 4th having played the entire season without a striker. Is it even controversial? A decent striker improves this team far more than a new right back or left back. Striker is a much more important position.

Fb's priority..

A great striker would massively improve us, but you go and find one willing to jump ship.

Proper modern day Fb's will greatly increase opportunities, which inturn will improve our scoring and also settle our team alround.

We don't need a great striker. A semi competent one would massively improve us.
