Another striker that doesn't score goals. Just what we need!

We need to start acting like a big club, going cap in hand To Utd wanting one of their crap bench players, it’s like going back to when Kenwright was running us, same as going back in for richarlison, that wouldn’t be as bad Zirkzee, but still we need to start acting like a club that wants to compete

Agree that the lack of pace is immediately quite off-putting, though Toney isn't exactly rapid either. Zirkzee can at least beat a man one on one, lots of tricks and flicks.

If we're looking for a striker to link with our wide players (which it looks like we are) i think we could do worse tbh.

Though as I said would prefer Toney, Vlahovic and handful of other strikers but not sure how realistic they are as targets.

I agree of course but the post underneath yours explains why this window is probably not the time to find that player, unless we can pull a hidden gem out of nowhere. V

We need a right back, a 6 and arguably a left back as well as a striker. With all that to do in a January window where prices will inevitably go higher than usual, I'm not sure its the right time to go big on a striker personally.

Someone like Zirkzee on loan with a right back and a 6 coming in on perms would be more beneficial to our season than dropping all that money on a starting striker in January, imo.

As I said though I know I'm probably in the minority in thinking this.

Or they just, long term, A.K.A. not all in one season, sign all those players, but right now, when we can't hit a barn door, we need a striker.

You raise an interesting point but we might have to wait for a few more windows to go by before we see the state of the squad.

We need a finisher, we have enough good players to do the outside the box stuff.
