January Transfer Window 2026

Nah not for me. Their owner just goes rogue an signs whoever he likes - Moshiri like.

All the whining last summer over Zinchenko, Douglas Luiz, McActee, Ndoye, Kalimuendo, Hutchinson.

Big fees and just 3 of that list have already been legged there.

Fair enough. I think they’ve assembled a good squad that has depth in all positions and a lot of pace and goal threat, qualified for Europe last season too. Players like McAtee, Ndoye and Hutchinson I’m sure will thrive under their next manager. But then they’ve spent the guts of half a billion on it so I’m not surprised they have good players really.

Some good players signed in a scattergun approach with no plan over a manager and a philosophy. They've still signed a lot of decent players.

If Aznou goes then the fate of the signings from the summer will be:

Aznou - gone
Grealish - out for the season
Rohl / Dibling / Alcaraz / Travers - bit part players

Only KDH / Barry - regular starters who are looking at starting games until the season's end.

That's a disastrous waste of money for a club with resources like ours.

And given that pattern I'd say George's chance of impacting the first team looks remote.
