January Transfer Window 2026

Oh Ok. I don't think that's really relevant to what was being said though? The point is that the plan was never to sign anybody in this window (they said this in the summer) and they don't intend to deviate from that plan. It's got nothing to do with the possibility of somebody getting injured after we sign them, that's why I couldn't work out how you'd made that leap, it's just them saying unless they think there's a great deal to be done they don't think they'll bother doing a deal now. I don't really see why people are so bothered this year to be honest, I'd have to side with the club for once and say there's no real need to be doing anything in this window unless it's something we'd want to do in the summer anyway. It might have changed now but as of Friday there were 12 clubs in the league who hadn't made a signing this window (the ones that had were generally at either end of the league) so it seems pretty clear that we're not the only ones who don't think it's the best time to do business.

Basically this.

They took us into a cup tie with a bench that had basically 1 senior outfield player on it, and a starting 11 with an 18 year old, McNeil and a partially fit Rohl. It was similar for some league games.

I can't see a world where now we are getting players back, they now go and get players in.

I think they feel we are safe, so there's no point risking anything. I find that infuriating, as again we seem to be missing any chance of European qualification. But yes, I don't think that's in their mind at all.

Hopefully we’ve a sell on Clause.
