If we could only invest in one major star, for me, it has to be a striker. I agree we need fullbacks. But my God, we never ever ever score. We’re near the bottom of the league. We hold our own fair enough with our backs and it shows in clean sheets. But we are starved of excitement in terms of seeing goals for our side.

We aren’t creating chances, Barry is feeding off scraps so no point in buying a striker. Need to create chances first, be it full backs or a manger who sets up to win rather than not to lose, or preferably both.

I have been screaming for a right back in January (who hasn’t). But Patterson has been alright if we are being honest.

I’d be happy with any of a left back, a quick winger or a striker with a competent technique.

Barry will get goals…he’ll score even more if he had functioning full backs to swing crosses in to him.
