January Transfer Window 2026

Moyes kinnear rest of the people at the e club for transfers. Owners will put money into the club shown that at roma
When Moyes is asked about transfers in press interviews he gives off the impression that he isn’t really involved. Especially when asked about specific players. So maybe he is not involved any further than telling the board what he needs and what the priorities are.

I never am sure about his power in the transfer business. MD does give the impression that it's another department in a far away place and he finds out through Google. For example Aznau being small or that Beto never started playing footie until he was 15 years old.

I am guessing there are no takers for Beto on a permanent deal, as he'd surely have been sold already if so. We cannot be loaning him out, so I think this puts to bed the idea that we'll be bringing a new striker in this window, which is incredibly disappointing and looks like the club doesn't want to make a genuine challenge for Europe. As confusing as it is disappointing, given our position in the league.

That kinnear fella has been awfully quiet.
He'll crop up around the 5th of February to say we were "keeping our powder dry" as it is "famously difficult to land top targets in the January window", and that he and the board have "full faith in the manager and team to put up a strong showing in the second half of the season". He'll then pivot quickly to this being fully justified by "the fanfastic performance of the squad with two consecutive victories against Aston Villa and Leeds", essentially indicating the board being vindicated for not spending a penny on the squad in January despite us barely being able to pick a squad for six weeks and now having lost Grealish for at least several months, never mind not having a trusted or proven right back still.

remember we need to replace Beto regardless or we are very low on numbers so surely have been sold already also means our brilliant recruitment team finding and convincing a replacement to come here and convincing selling team to agree to our loan proposal lol .
