Mateta could be excellent for 2-3 seasons. Would all depend on the price as there is no sell-on value due to his age. £25 million, but his value would be way more I think — 18 months left on his deal.

Avoid all day long. They've had to cellotape his head on
Id be surprised to see any activity this Jan from Everton. So will our mighty EFC have another striker lined up and Beto goes or Fener get impatient and move on to other targets.
Will we get our elusive right back or we stick with Patterson/O'Brien. Best chance I am guessing this Seville right back they need to sell due to financial struggles.
I don't expect any replacement for Grealish
Is he not in jail now?Any marquee signings? Is Eto’o still available?
I can only see a loan or two.I think we may get a loan just before deadline day. The "PSR headroom" that we'll gain going into the summer is obviously what they're looking at.
I bet the Grealish injury has kiboshed any plans to put chips in the middle and say we're going for a European place.
I think someone made the point that Mateta was as pants as Barry when he first arrived at Palace and that's true. He was awful.
He is now a very effective, confident striker but at his age and for £40 mill , no I'd look elsewhere . We could always pick up another Dibling for that money.
Are people turning their noses up at Mateta after watching Barry & Beto all season?
Never has a player disappointed me moreLooking forward to Earl Barretts comeback
. Thought he was going to be the bees kneesHow many handbags has she got Kev?You sound like my wife. Just desperate to spend money for the sake of it. I'd sooner wait and get exactly what we need.
