January Transfer Window 2026

Juve apparently have dropped their interest in Palace's Mateta (too expensive) and are interested in En-Nesyri...

...and also Norton-Cuffy

Are we sending our scouting analytics to the wrong Italian club?

I feel like Brighton are still in there by virtue of a system and a strong coach, but the quality in the side is fading, apart from Baleba and Mitoma I can’t see any with any big quality or likely to get a big transfer fee

Them going down at some point soon and getting more Coventrys, Middlesbroughs would be preferable
I noticed yesterday that they had 4 players aged 34 and over in their starting XI, and James Milner was on the bench

The same thought struck me - they could always have lots of promising players out on loan etc who'll come good, but currently the actual quality in their team is lower than it has been for some time it feels like

It seems a shame to me that this relatively great first half of a season will most likely go to waste when we fall short of a European place by a small handful of points ultimately.

Then we'll get the "well look at how much better we did this season" bs from that Kinnear weasel.

We have a bunch of players in their prime, who are leaving us as they are on loan, or who may be attracting bids in the summer — now is the time to strike and take a chance in the market. A "better" finish this season probably doesn't mean next season will see continued improvement.

The board should be looking at the table and thinking just two smart additions to the squad we have now would get likely put us in the driving seat for Europa League, never mind that Conference League.

Get your wallet out ffs.
Evertonians more than anyone will know that new signings don't guarantee extra points on the board.

If we end up a small handful of points outside Europe then that *is* a massive improvement on the last few seasons and *should* be celebrated as such.

Some good reinforcements would be boss, like, but no chance the owners are gonna splurge January cash on a few transfers just on the offy that we might miss out on Europe by a few points if we don't.
