Boring stats reasons I'm excited by Holm - among all fullbacks (around 260 of them) in top 5 leagues he is:

1st for possession-adjusted interceptions
3rd for percentage of defensive duels won
5th for possessions won

So elite defensively. But also:

10th for key passes
15th for cross accuracy
16th for expected assists
22nd for crossed to the box

So excellent in contributing to attack too. Just feels like a great fit

I wasn’t totally sure how it worked. I get we can trigger but what if he says he’s signed a pre contract. Not sure if we can then trigger our extension or whether the pre contract holds more legal weight.

If we have an option, he can’t sign a pre contract elsewhere

Was thinking the other way thought Brooke Norton-Cuffey Has experience in the lower leagues so still a step up, just worry would be that holm looks to similar to what we have now. Another defensive player to the back 4, while that norton looks have abit more pace. Could be wrong only watched short vids on youtube.

Never trust anyone whos good at set pieces to teach set pieces.

You cant teach talent and talented people dont understand why other people canr do what they can.

Theres the story's of Glenn waddle when he was a manager loosing his rag in training because he'd tell players to do certain passes and they couldnt do them. So he'd get the ball do the pass and put it on a six pence and just go do that. Apparently it was one of the reasons he struggled as a manager because he expeced his players to be as good as he was.

Holm is pretty decent going forward tbh. Height probably makes you think he's more defensive, but he looks alright with the ball as a full back too tbh. I say that only having seen him once or twice like.

Yeah havent seen both really just seen his height guessed really. Just really need something different at fb

Holm is pretty decent going forward tbh. Height probably makes you think he's more defensive, but he looks alright with the ball as a full back too tbh. I say that only having seen him once or twice like.

Holm is probably the more rounded player but then he is a few years older, Cuffy is probably a bit quicker and more direct.
