His job? What is he meant to do?
Would you let those two spend more money?Kinnear and Moyes are chatting out their hoops if they don’t think this group needs adding to. 2/3 decent quality additions needed urgently.
What?Signing off on Moyes transfers?
Sorry I don't mean it quite like that. I just mean it's very possible that players we actually want aren't available in Jan. I'd rather we stick to that and wait til summer to buy them, than extend our list of targets just to find one that's available. Why would it have to be that? That’s all our summer signings appear to be anyway.
We should have a shortlist of players, we should’ve been speaking to agents and should’ve been scouting players from September to now, what makes you think any signings in this window would be short term panic buys?

I mean obviously what I'd really love is if a target is available and we buy him. But it's quite possible or even probable that that's not the case (outside of loans).

I dont but the "we can't attract etc..." pay them top dollars and they will come. If TFG wants to make money out of everton, then they have made a huge mistake buying us. You need to spend really big initially before you can actually break even in the pl, let alone making money. This is a world cup year, for a start recruitment should be looking at good players perhaps not playing regularly and want to play in order to get a World Cup squad.
Secondly, we run the risk of yet again repeating the cycle of the “we can’t attract certain calibre “ of player because of where we are like last season and last summer which the manager himself said.
Tbf normally id say that's very unlikely but if the noise about us only wanting a RB with premier league experience is correct then that may well be trueWe hear that every January and it’s a load of absolute horse crap. What it means is that we’ve been too lazy to scout properly and come up with a shortlist of more than 2 players.
