January Transfer Window 2026

A profile who can be ready to make an impact, is one of the most important positions in the modern game now. With the subs rule getting fresh legs having a different option can win you the game. Be happy with a monga aswell but need a winger who is closer to the first team imo

When would they play?

A LW player
Has Grealish ahead of him
Then Ndiaye ahead of him

Their minutes would be limited unless we signed a superior player those 2 which we wont.

Then if theyre 'ready to play' what quality players will join knowing theyre barely going to get games?

Central midfield is similar as is Central defence.

How to upgrade, whats the profile?

I’d probably have him over both if I’m honest mate and I’d be a fan of theirs also as players.

Hes a different type, more a wide forward then a conventional winger, like Gordon or Barnes.

Hes a clever player - capable of double digits goals and assists in this league - that would be huge and transformative for us.
I am hopeful that Grealish, KDH and NDaiye all get 10+ goal contributions (is that the trendy description ?) with one getting 15.

I think Grealish will not stay next season so we will need to replace that 10 with better

Oh and a 15+ striker

Currently goal contributions (G&A)

6: KDH, Ndiaye, Grealish
5: Garner

Fair assumption that the 3 you mentioned will get to 10+

Why do you think Grealish wont stay?

Unless City are prepared to drop the price down to £15-20m the deal just doesn't make any kind of financial sense, its just a huge package for a 30 year old and a lot would need too change to make it viable imo.

But we aren’t signing Nwaneri or Lewis-Skelly
Regarding Lewis-skelly , an Arsenal friend of mine said he's very unlikely to leave this window even on loan due to their squad injuries and that he's very much in the mold of an Alexander Arnold that despite his attacking prowess is lacking on defense, which if that's the case , Moyes would not be interested in him anyway

McAtee already on his way out of Forest? Don’t blame him. Of each of the 47 managers he has had since going there in summer, Dyche won’t have the slightest idea how to feed him into the team, and he is 23. Time is ticking for him. Can/should play every week at some level.

Think we got massively lucky with missing out on him and getting KDH instead.

Lad literally had the world at his feet and chose to go to a 1 season flash in the pan, where it was blatantly obvious he didn't fit into the set up.

But hey, Europe i suppose turns players heads

If Palace have agreed a deal at that price, I think they have done well. I could see him at Bournemouth, given Semenyo is expected to go to City.

I would love to think we are in for him, having Him, Grealish and Ndiaye behind a striker could be really effective

Well originally the talk was we were going to play grealish behind the striker when we first got him on loan.

So i wouldnt be surprised if we were to move grealish inside, ndiaye back out tot the left and johnson onto the right. Either way its options we currently dont have

Dream Window:

Brennan Johnson
Conor Gallagher ( loan)
A right back ( eg Juanlu )
An Ake style LCB / Left back but younger
That would be an unbelievable window. I’d say it’d be hard to pull off. If we could even get Ake and Juanlu we’d see a massive improvement in the team, if we got the other two lads too I’d very much expect Europe come the end of season

Most games ino wide players shouldnt be played for the full 90, also when off form can rotate. Push grealish ndiaye central, should always be looking for better players. If not why not just keep mcneil, club can always upgrade the squad i like the profile of johnson who we could just be agent talk to get more clubs in for him. Or if west ham was looking sell summerville ir like take a chance on if was at a good price, risk with his injuries but maybe an option if west ham go down
