Yes, we always need more players. But we have a budget too and I'd sooner we didn't try to fix every single problem with the squad with stop gap short term solutions. Let's see what the squad looks like at the end of next summer.

I get that is more like the rb position that has just been left, would have fixed garner staying in the midfield. That and felt we should have signed another striker, can accept we csnt just throw cash around. But could have done more imo

I think it’s massively unlikely that Botofogo would agree to loan him to us, given that there is interest from other teams. The last thing we really need is a protracted transfer that runs to deadline day, we need the signings in early doors. I doubt he would cost that much, probably £9m at the most, which in this day and age is nothing for a starting RB

Also the lad at bayern he french rb is rumours he can leave on loan could be an option. If the right scouting has been done and they think he is good enough to be the long term rb. That is fine for me just dont want a rb to come in and be backup to obrien.

People giving the transfer windows 2s and 3s out of 10 have an agenda mate.

Nothing short of the signing of Lukaku MK2 would get them to change and even then some of them would still be calling him lazy and trampoline shins.

Having had a good scout around other teams forums, I can honestly say that the only other team that seems to have supporters that hate the manager and the players as much as a lot of our fans seem to do, is West Ham.

imo you build from the back

i would say the next big investments have to be the full back positions

lets say we sign the next haaland and he goes on to score 1 goal in the next 20 games then people will blame the fact that we have poor wing backs or wingers that don't provide our strikers with the service etc.

least you quell that argument if you buy the full backs first and then the striker last

Our defense is just fine, if there is money to spend it needs to go on a player who will actually score a few goals.

Any defence is helped by the opposition having a striker to actually worry about.
