January Transfer Window 2026

To be fair he did confirm we have a 1 year extension option for Mykolenko.

I expect we will trigger that and that we make decisions on him and Anzou in the summer. It may be Anzou takes over next season and we offload Mykolenko in the summer.

We've got Anzou who will probably takeover from Mykolenko at LB.

How much do you think quality RBs and DMs cost?

I do think Beto will be sold to Italy or Saudi and we will sign another CF.
I think quality DMs are hard to come by. They win games.

Robinson from Fulham for a nominal fee or loan with option would be solid.

See if he is over his injury and up to speed, when he was fit he was exactly the type of full back needed to thrive in a Moyes team.

He would offer Jack a lot more space and a genuine option. Whilst removing the second man which is always marking him.

Loan with an option, albeit a higher fee is what I’d look towards.

My problem with Robinson is he literally is an academy graduate and we should have had the best years of his career here. Hes 29 next season.

We dropped the ball on him or rather Brands did.

We shouldn’t compound the error, we move on.

Jamal Lewis was the other one hyped at Norwich when they came up in 2019. He did get a big move to Newcastle but fell out of favour as soon as the takeover happened. Had a stint in Brazil and now got short term deal at Preston.

Kind of feels like similar article to the above can basically be written about Patterson now.

Same as Godfrey, the wonderfully overated and relegated Norwich team.

I do remember with Baines (and tbf Coleman too) Moyes took an eternity to put them in when most fans would have had them in sharpish - especially the season after Coleman was loaned to Blackpool.
And it worked out very well in the long term with both of them.

Perhaps we need to accept that Moyes is better placed than us to make those judgement calls, even if they are unpopular at the time

Proper wingbacks would make life for Illy and especially Grealish so much easier. Grealish needs lots of movement around him to excel. Thats why he partners so well with KDH, who makes great runs. Miko doesnt do that which limits Jacks options.

Illy has a better individual action but would also benefit from a wingback who makes deep runs. Makes his inside moves easier because the wingback needs attention from one of the (double marking) defenders.

If only...

In a World Cup year, it may not be beyond the bounds of possibilities to see Ivan Toney rock up on a short term loan deal.
Would get the game time and media exposure to tickle Tuchel's testicle....
Recent athletic article basically stated that a deal would be implausible due to the wage demands and Toney's club being unwilling to even consider a loan or transfer. They did mention we investigated the possibility
