The fact nobody else can spend means we can’t even sell to be able to try and comply.

Newcastle have had a go and didn’t spend ridiculous money. I mean they spent a bit but not as much as we did…. They got into the cl group stages and because it looks like they won’t this season, they have to sell.

They have a net spend of £350 million in 2 years like.. we never did that.

Presumably we're sizing him up as a Branthwaite replacement. IF we could pull off the deal, getting him in, giving him time to bed him before the likely summer sale of Branthwaite would be sensible.

So we are going to let a winger go for a CB?

That will leave just McNeil, Dobbin and Harrison as wide options and we already have 4 Centre Backs....

If Dyche and Thelwell allow that to happen I think they`ve lost the plot and playing a very dangerous game.

If we have a player they want and they have a player we want we might as well chance our arm and try to use one to leverage the other. Regardless of the situation elsewhere on the pitch we do need a CB if Godfrey goes, and definitely need one if Branthwaite goes as is likely in the summer.

It's a player we have been interested in for a while, and perhaps trying to use danjuma as leverage

Benrahma is a decent player, has chipped in a good few goals for West Ham in the last couple of seasons. I've not seen any concrete links but I wouldn't turn my nose at him tbh.

He has been awful this season for them...had a couple of decent season to be fair, but not sure he is better than danjuma
