If that has caused him to want to move then he needs to get thicker skin and grow up a bit.

100% really.

That's not to excuse the idiots who did it, but it has been completely overblown. Christ there is a lot worse shouted at players, from all fans, from the stands.

That may be an excuse, but is not the reason. He is making a move, probably for a lot more money, from a club in a poor position to one in a great position. That's fair enough. You would hope he would have done it the right way, but theres little loyalty in the game anymore.

Seeing Links to Arnautovic again, 33 year old striker, around £15m, another stop gap, high wage player. Signing him, with Zyech and spending the Gordon transfer money on 2 players who may be able to keep us up, with Dyche as manager.

I am feeling a Deja Vu here, when we brought in; Allardyce, Tosun and Walcott. It might keep us up, but then, in the summer, you have a different manager and two players on high wages and long contracts that the new manager doesnt want.

Pure excuse isn’t it - he’s been wanting away since Chelsea flirted with him. Classless from him and he’s been badly advised tbh.

Sell for what we can get and reinvest quickly.

Ziyech and Arnautovic on loan to help us get out of this mess would be fine. Both would be useful contributors in the near term.

Sinking significant capital into their acquisitions and then burdening ourselves with multi year wage obligations would not be fine. Both would prevent us from getting the kind of signings we need to properly rebuild the squad.
