Potter would have a lot of upside.

He seems totally unsuited to a club like Chelsea, but we are a different kettle of fish. Does he become a bad coach in 6 months?

It's just time. Not sure why people always expect managers to move to a new club and just hit the ground running every time. If you moved jobs to the other side of the country, whole new set of colleagues, line managers, duties maybe etc. are you going to be comfortable straight away?

If it weren't for the millions they make getting sacked I'd say being a manager is one of the roughest jobs in football.

Yes I agree with that 100% mate.

But football is illogical really. Potter is clearly a coach that needs time to embed his system, it's one of gradual change.

However, those top 5 or 6 clubs in the country, you just dont get that time unless you get results straight away. Potter always felt a bad fit. He would probably do well on the continent.
