After all the doom and gloom today, I cheered myself up by watching the whole 1992/93 season review.

After todays news I think we all learned we need to be more careful in here about our opinions on targets. With the club saying fans are at fault for decisions in the club, posters need to think twice about being too positive or negative on players until they are SURE, or else we sink the club.

On that front I 100% think we need to take Messi on a 6 month loan for a 1 million fee.

The amount of big earners Wev got of the wage bill over the past couple of years and it doesent seem to have made a bit of difference

The difference is that if we HADN'T got rid of all those highly-paid flops, the club would have gone insolvent.

Our wage bill is judged as "too high" or "ok" when measured against our turnover; it's quicker to cut an excessive wage bill than it is to grow the turnover needed to support an excessive wage bill.

Obviously we need to do both, but in the situation we were in over the last 18 months you cut the wage bill every chance you get.

Which is idiotic because we have to be winning the Saints game. Same as when we dragged our feet at the start of the season with singings when our start was clearly the set of fixtures we would've been targeting to win and then only got Onana and Gana after the fact...I hate us.

But surely the point is he's a quality player available on a loan which suits our predicament and now he's going to a rival. If we were interested it's disappointing not to get it done, but even if we weren't interested why the hell not? There is not a queue of quality options available to us on loan, if we haven't been fighting for him what are they even doing?

The point I was making is that we have no clue what is happening.
