Because he’s our manager.

He knew we were bringing in a director of football when he was appointed. It's to give continuity if Koeman leaves.

Schneiderlin, Siggurdson and Martina were clearly his signings. Pretty sure Giroud was a Koeman target.

He spat his dummy out over Belfodil and pulled out of the deal and pushed the club into signing Schneiderlin.

Belfodil was clearly a Walsh signing and him and Koeman obviously didn't see eye to eye. But Walsh was brought in to unearth hidden gems.

Reckon we got lucky with that Bel lad as he’s a bit of a wrong un.

But yes I get your point. Koeman and Walsh will of course talk about targets and work on this together.

Well, I bloody hope so!

They're all good players. But atm Koeman's tactics aren't helping any of them

This is the crux right here, Koeman's tactics appear baffling, questionable. As if he is shoehorning players into a system he undoubtedly believes in but he doesn't have the personnel to pull it off. Hopefully during the the next transfer window, these issues will be addressed, if not, he simply has to change his system.

Belfodl was after the Schneiderlin deal though.

And let's be honest, we needed MS and he's a fantastic player - just going through a rough patch of form.

The main failing on Walsh and Koeman's part in the last window is not having a list of 4-5 targets for that CF position, all of whom would provide a consistent quality with no massive drop-off between target 1 (Giroud) and target 4 or 5.

By the looks of it, it was Giroud, Jimenez and then a last ditch scramble to try for Costa and Benteke, deals which were never gonna come off (for different reasons).

Failing to sign a No.9 determined we'll finish 7th again. There's reports we tried to sign Costa on deadline day, maybe true who knows. We'll continue to be the best of the rest until we stop being a feeder club for the teams above us and push on by keeping our established stars.

That comes down to ambition and money, it's yet to be decided if we have either.
