Jesse Lingard is one of those players you think is 21 for his entire career but he’s actually 27.

I think it would possibly rival £45m for Sigurdsson as the worst piece of business the club had ever done.

Like Walcott, except he’s now in his 30s.

Lingard is an awful footballer. Awful. No way Carlo and Marcel sit down together and decide he’s what we need. If we did buy him, I’d honestly stop watching us as after that derby match it was clearer than ever that we’re full of crap players and I simply won’t watch us buy and play another as bad as this lad.

I know that this is a weird reason to dislike a player but there is no hair on his body anywhere, none. This must be a choice, which means he spends a fair amount of time every couple of days being plucked like a chicken. Not for me.

It's looking like last season was an outlier and that his level is not that high. Injuries have hurt him this year but I would not be looking to sign him at this point.

He's also better than all of our wingers currently which is just amazing. But still a no from me.
