Hopefully valente can find a hidden gem for us in portugal to maybe bring in on loan in january to have a look at for 6 months. That side braga must have some talent in their team, they are leading the league ahead of benfica so they must have something about them, they are not a big club either so we could probably nab somebody on the cheap.

when i think about the january transfer window, i get a sadness in my heart. the kind of sadness someone gets when they've been hurt too often. the sort of feeling you'd get if you buried/ flushed a succession of goldfishes over the years. you promise yourself you won't get another, but the need soon sets in. then you find yourself flushing the new one, just like the rest.

sure you could clean the tank once in a while, or put a lid on the top to stop the cat getting in, but will things really change? really? you promise yourself that this time will be different, but in your heart of hearts you know the whole tragic cycle will continue, and you know each time hurts just as bad.
