Big Dunc n RM to swap places for second half of season

With all due respect, exactly what has Ferguson delivered to the team yet in his fledgling coaching capacity ?
He doesn't appear to have turned Rom into the beast that strikes genuine fear into the hearts and minds of opposition defenders, and apart from enjoying a kick-around pre-game and at half time, I'm not seeing too much from him as yet.

I hope his appointment works out for us, and was not made out of a misplaced sense of loyalty because in this day and age, we can't afford sentiment - the club has to be hard-nosed and appoint the best people/coaches to do specific jobs.

I doubt he is concentrating solely on Rom, who knows how much space he is given to lead, not much I doubt. Thought it was Eto'o also guiding Rom. Let's face it can't see RM letting Dunc have too much to say or do pre match chat or tactics. In actual fact I don't think his tactics would be to you to me at all. He must be fuming that we don't do enough with corners n free kicks

Tend to agree on him not concentrating on Rom and that maybe Samuel Eto'o is helping guide Rom too... and totally agree that Dunc along with the rest of us is fuming about our shockingly awful corner kicks... bring back Andy Hinchcliffe or Davey Thomas !!!

Ayew is a good left mid, have we been linked?
Just in those jarg articles that list every single team that might need a winger

I'm sure he's been mentioned in the previous 62 pages of baseless speculation, but how much would Perisic be?
(If we can't hypnotise Barcelona into giving us Gerry back)
Perisic or Gerry would be a dream. Jarg papers were saying around 12m for Perisic but then wolfsberg came out and said he wasn't going anywhere. Don't really see why they would sell, so I think sadly the dream will stay a dream.

We need to go for a cut price Winston Reid in January. There is no point waiting until the Summer to fix our problem in central defence.

Distin and Alcaraz are both finished, Stones is injured, and even when he becomes fit again, we will need a legitimate third option at centre back in order to prevent this sorry situation from happening again.

He has looked good from the little I've seen of him - @red1 what do you think?

Emiliano Martínez considered his future at Arsenal in the summer but the goalkeeper is now relishing the opportunity to stake his claim in the starting XI.

The 22-year-old Argentinian, who joined as a 17-year-old in the summer of 2010, marked his third consecutive start at home to Southampton on Wednesday with his third consecutive clean sheet to add weight to Arsène Wenger’s theory that the club have rediscovered their defensive stability.

Martínez was concerned when Wenger signed the Colombia goalkeeper David Ospina from Nice in July to vie for the No1 spot with the established first choice, Wojciech Szczesny. He spoke with the people closest to him as he wondered whether he might have to move elsewhere. Martínez is at the stage where he both wants and needs to play.

I guess it's great if it turns out we have a good backup in Martinez even though I don't think he's been fully tested yet. He looked decent to be fair to him, I was worried at first. He's very lucky that Ospina is out though haha otherwise I don't think he would have got even a minute.

Perhaps he realises that as well and might fancy his chances at taking over Howard's spot instead.

Apparently you guys are in for Salah loan in January? There's a rule where you can't loan two players from the same club I think but even though I haven't seen much of Atsu, I have a feeling sending him back to Chelsea to bring in Salah might be a significant upgrade. I rate him.
