For some reason I'm now less confident we'll get anyone after reading this post.

True.

RM said we needed to strengthen before this season and we actually began it with less players. The squad has been gradually shrinking and if the lack of professionalism displayed by the club in the Eto'o transfer debacle (playing him out of position and seeming confused then as to why he wanted to leave, the club denying he wanted to leave, protracted negotiations that even an Italian club found crazy, then actually selling him and offering no formal announcement to the club's own supporters when it happened) then I feel the club doesn't have a clue where it is going, let alone a decent plan for replacements.

The club has been taken over by lizard people in preparation for the revolution.

ALL HAIL THE LIZARD KING KENWRIGHT

.....Pato and Al Sharawarry rumoured as Eto'o replacements.

If this is true it stinks of a desperate massive gamble. Two players of obvious talent, that are obviously available yet no one else in the football world wants to touch? Even Liverpool haven't been stupid enough to buy them.

That's it, it seemed like we were at least 3 players short of having a big enough squad this season with the Europa to contend with. We now have players who look like they'll never play for us again (Eto'o) or are injured 99% of the time (Gibson, Pienaar, Osman) or have regressed so much in playing ability they deserve never to be selected again (Distin, McGeady, Alcaraz) and it seems like January will come and go with no additions at all.

The squad needs a complete overhaul and the sooner the better.

Thats very negative.
A potentially world class winger and a brazilian international forward...

Would be a gamble, could turn out inspired or an absolute disaster. The talents definitely there though, was only a few years ago you'd be looking at around 60 mil to buy the pair
