What confuses me is, when we got Deulofeu on loan last season, Bobby spoke out and said lots of top clubs have asked us to take their youthful players too...yet in summer and now, we haven't loaned any from Europe?

Why haven't we used the loan system like last season?

Naismith just isn't technically that good and certainly will be shown out wide where he's expected to be able to beat a man more so than fight for the ball and hope it breaks for him.

Barkley alongside McCarthy or Besic in a deeper role and he'll shine as he always has done when there. He even improved the last night for the last 10 when he dropped in. Naismith behind Lukaku were he does all his best work and 2 creative wide players, at the moment that's Mirallas and McGeady or another for me but they must both be able to create and not just be defensive minded.

It's scary that what's been crying out to be looked at as we struggle to create has still not been put out on the pitch.

I haven't got a clue of this is a load of nonsense but the idea of a young, Spanish midfielder coming in sounded good until I googled him and seen the dreaded words 'defensive midfielder'.

If there is anything this team does not need, it's one of them.

I'd be happy with this - has been used as a CB as well as a DM. Reckon we'd see the back of Gibbo if true. Though he has been playing quite a bit for Atleti this term - so it'd be a weird one - and we'd still need a winger like.

Saul from Atletico Madrid? Heard some great things from him - think even that Balague guy has raved about him a few times. Neat passer and seen as one of the future starters for Spain. Be good if we can get him but then I wonder what formation is Martinez looking to play at if he wants McCarthy/Besic as his shield?
