Not a good time to sell tbh, if anyone goes, it would have to be the summer for me. We could seriously end up getting relegated here, most teams at the bottom either have a new manager or a decent new signing.

All hands on deck til summer.

It can be tough for a foreign player to settle without a preseason to get used to teammates, language and the physicality of league.

I do agree but during his 18 months he's only signed 3 players from foreign teams and haven't played in the league before, there needs to be a fair balance. Teams like Southampton (Tadic, Pelle, Mane etc), Swansea (Montero, Bony, Fernandez) and others have shown there's a reason for scouting staff and we need to take advantage of lower leagues and players that stand out and can take the step up. These deals tend to be cheaper so you can take risks in these situations and hope you've been extensive and accurate enough in your scouting for it to come off.

Coleman won't put a transfer request in unlike we ask him ala arteta and fellaini.

And we won't sell him unless we get he right fee.

But we do not keep players who don't want to 've here and he is a United fan. There are always replacements and we will need he money to replace the deadwood.

If a deal is right it'll be done quickly imo But if United Ness about it won't happen.

Probably an unpopular opinion but if United came in with £25 million for him Id snap their hands off for it... He's been poor this season and that money could buy a few positions and really fast forward the process of Martinez buying his more complete squad. We're going to have to end up selling someone in the next year and I'd rather it be Coleman who's been in poor form than Barkley, Stones or McCarthy imo.

No doubt. At that price he is gone surely.

One of the reasons they tend to be cheaper is the risk the player, or his family, won't settle. Having a loan with an option to buy is nice as gives all parties a bit of cover if things don't work out. But if buying them would generally prefer to do it in the summer when they have the best chance of adapting out of the spotlight, especially given how quick some of our fans are to write off a player.

yeah, this season he hasn't been a £25m player and if he's going to constantly play like he has lately we'd be better off getting rid, getting a great price for what is essentially a non-important position. i mean phill neville did it for years and was hardly a disaster there.

i'm content with what jinks says, make him make the request, but i would make sure based on shaw that it's closer to £30m than £25m. i know it was paid on potential and that he's english etc. but he's got major fitness issues and won't become a better player than coleman imo. coleman's still young enough to be paying higher for potential. basically, do they want the best RB in the league who they can get, or don't they?
