It's the position/player we need most and Gil had been approached by us this time last season so unless he decided Cleverly in the summer is the better option I really can't understand it. If he does think Cleverly is the better option it really makes me question Roberto's judgement. I didn't know about the buy back so maybe he refused for that reason.

An attacking 4 of Lukaku, Gil, Barkley and Deulofeu would have sorted us for the next 5 years. They would have given us the perfect balance too. Oh I am mad.
