Everton will already have a list of all the keepers that would suit. They will be trying to get one of them. If we don't end up with a new one by the end of the window, it's because nothing was available/they were too expensive/the keepers didn't want to come here. Not because we didn't bother.

Just trying to head off the inevitable fume...
 
I like the fact Bobby is recognising that we need a new keeper, I always like the words "long term" but what context is Martinez meaning, does he want to bring a keeper in as our new first choice keeper for the next decade or does he want to sign a promising 18yo so we have an actual third choice keeper and we can try and groom. I really hope it's not the latter, we need a new first choice keeper now.

I'm not going to act like I've even heard of Karius before but he looks like he'd make a boss signing, bags of potential and ready to go.
 
We can't bring in a long term first choice keeper in January, certainly not one as good (or not so good) as Howard is.

It's been said before but worth repeating, no club in their right mind would let their keeper go in January unless it was for stupid money, which we don't have. Which means we can either loan one in or get some rubbish second choice keeper.
 
Theres plenty of 21-25yr old Goalkeepers starting week in week out for there teams, meaning, the likes of a Loris Karius can quite easily come in and be our starting goalkeeper for 10-15yrs easy, thus being our 'Long term goalkeeper'.
 
Speaking of keepers Neto from Fiorentina has told the club he won't be re-signing with the club. Their fans are raging and want him gone now, should be available on the super cheap.

Word is Juve are really after him but would defiantly be worth a look into.

He's out of contract in the summer mate (Karius)
