I'm sure Moyes has that info and I've concluded the same even if he can get fit he won't be used this year. Not with the way Fellaini looked upfront as well. He will be needed to be in shape for next year.

One of my favourite players this kid. he has everything a striker needs and more. If he could stay fit, i think he'd be our first choice striker.
Lets hope he has went to see someone to lift the curse he's had placed on him.

i really think this will be his last chance before we right him off as another jeffers.

fingers crossed for you vaughany, it'll be a travesty for someone with that much talent not to come good, he has the potential to be an everton legend for sure

Osman was similar in his younger years, he had two major injuries and missed alot of football, went out on loan and broke through at Everton aged 23.

I'm hoping this will be the case with Vaughan. I think more than anything a loan would be great for him.

Why sell him? The lad has undoubtedly talent, it's just that had an injury ravaged career uptill now. Try to get him fit, as he could be quite useful to us. There will be time enough to offload him in a few years time. Would hate it to see him fullfilling his potential at another club.

His injuries have slowed his development - he's behind 3 years IMO. And they arent just niggling injuries, they are big year long injuries that will only get worst as he gets older - his pace will go, he'll need to be wrapped in wool all the time. We could send him out on loan but even then the chances of him becoming a cropper on the physio bench is high.

That lad has talant. Its just, IMO, not going to work out for him. Saha and Owen are 2 examples of players who are getting injuried in there late 20's and they are out more than they're in. Vaughan is 18-19 or something and been out for entire seasons. Injuries dont get better over time.

That and he's not going to get long runs in the 1st team. I think we should cut our loses.

Id le to see him get a good preseason under his belt.

Quite clearly quality.

Theres a mass disruption element to our team and players id imagine other teams hate playing against Vaughany being one theothers being Cahill and Fellaini.

He's proven time and time again though that's he's a quick learner, even against West Brom he came on a changed the game with 30 minutes left. He looked as quick as he did when he first came through.

Alot of Vaughan's injuries have been different, they aren't just his knee. He's also had niggling injuries, a dislocated shoulder and a severed artery in his leg. The likes of Saha and Owen have mainly been injured in the same place, niggling injuries to there hamstrings that just won’t go away.

Leon Osman is a perfect example, someone who missed a lot of football in his younger years and only came through at 23. Thank god we didn’t let go of him, he’s been a very valuable player over the past few years and we could have easily let him go when he did his knee twice.

It could go either way but I have no doubts that Moyes will keep him on, it’s far to early to write a player like Vaughan off and he knows that.

But like I said Saha's and Owens were when they were 28 - Vaughan's had nasties since he was 17.

As for Ossie, we sent him off on loan. Unless we do that for Vaughan and see what happens, he's not going to be the shining light for our strike force unless something miraculous happens when he can do a season injury free.

Owen's been picking up hamstring injuries for years, I'm sure Saha has aswell. Both players have had alot of niggling injuries which they can‘t get over, Vaughan has had freak injuries that could happen to anyone. Especially when where talking about severed arteries and dislocated shoulders.

Vaughan may well go out on loan if we get some cover in forward positions, that wouldn’t surprise me. If he doesn’t then hopefully he can stay fit for the majority of the season, hopefully they finally fix his knee.

Osman’s situation proved that just shipping players out isn’t the way to go about things, especially players with potential. I’m confident Moyes will stand by Vaughan and give him the best possible chance of making it here. Whether that’s going out on loan and gaining experience or playing here.

Oh I doubt he wont go anywhere. I'm just not expecting anything from him. How many seasons of "he's gonna be fit! ah **** he's out for the season!" has he gone through? 3?

I'd like to see us buying some reliable back up.
