I agree with everyone who said yanking him was not only the right choice but a strong message. Like when Rashford has been benched. Not the same calibre player, but the idea’s the same. Effort and attitude vs. stupid mental errors.
He's also an experienced pro, don't think there's any need to coddle him over trying to win a game. O'Brien needs a go at CB sooner or later anyway.

I get why he wasn’t subbed because Moyes wouldn’t want to disrupt the pairing & probs doesn’t trust O’Brien in the middle or Dixon at RB,but on performance alone he should have been off at HT … and he didn’t get much better in the second half.

So one bad game is all it takes then. He’s been an absolute warrior for us that we got on a free signing. Can count his errors on one hand. Every player has bad games, he’s fortunately not had many or we’d be relegated.

I think you underestimate how many mistakes he makes. A lot of rash tackles. I like the guy but he's ludicrously slow, and teams target him with pace.

Schoolboy stuff today. I think he is on the decline but he’s still the 2nd best centre back at the club. Unfortunately it is what it is
