If we sell both Richarlison and Kean for big money, I could see a scenario where we maybe get a few less glamorous signings in around the £10-30m bracket, plus maybe a couple of loans, and potentially keeping James as a big name and an option for creativity.
Replacing Richarlison would be hard because everyone loves him and he does a lot for the team, and his profile is huge now. Kean has been a failed experiment which we were definitely right to try, but if we get a loan fee and a guaranteed transfer at the end, it will be a good deal. Add in last year's loan fee and 2 years of not paying his wages and we will have made a tidy profit on him in 3 years.
The players coming in won't be of the same profile and will likely be younger or players with something to prove, so I imagine they would be on more reasonable wages than we have offered in the recent past. It also means it would be a huge creative burden to put on whoever comes in to fill the void left by who is widely considered to be our best player. So it would make sense to keep 1 of them if the finances allow it.
We would essentially be losing Richarlison, Kean, James, Bernard and Voldemort in 1 summer. That's 5 out 7 attacking players on the books (I'm not even counting Tosun,or Walcott for that matter) and it's 1 hell of a turnover for any team and crazy to expect us to just hit the ground running.
If the new players are youngsters like Jebbison, or someone from a different league, they will need an adjustment period, so having a player like James would be more than a decent cover.
