It's not that clear cut when you're paying them x-amount, still a clearly talented player and we're down to the bare bones of a squad.

Like I mentioned earlier, they'll still be looking to offload him and I suspect that'll currently be playing a part in their decision making process.

He's been training for four weeks. He's been in all the videos, all the pictures, the videos show him working just like the rest of the team. Andros Townsend said last week how hard James has been working in training.

It's not like this is a new thing, btw.Benitez is renowned for being a stubborn, egotistical tosser as a manager. As a man, for what he's done for the city, I have a lot of respect for him. As a manager, the jury is firmly out.

A few wins don't change who he is, Benitez is the same man he was before we hired him. Arrogant and stubborn and happy to drive out a great player because of personal vendetta, even to the detriment of the team. He did the same with Alonso at the RS and Mitrovic at Newcastle.

It's going to get ugly the next few weeks, would love to be wrong like but we can all see it coming over the horizion.
