Never, ever going to happen? Mate he played most games last season haha, and that's without Carlo letting him do what he wanted.
Don't expect to play 90 mins every week, but no reason he can't make a massive contribution this season ( if he stays )

Just had a quick gander 29 league, 2 EFL 3 FA cup. It is a similar range but without the blame and fume. As I mentioned earlier a lot of that will be because he, Dacoure, doesn't have a social media brand to maintain, so no pics on private jets or the like.

Either way, he's played in most of the games. I also think a massive part was Carlo letting him have games off instead of insisting he played.
It is also because James never seem to be able to go past 70 minutes.
He just didn’t seem capable of competing in the league properly.
Of those games that he did play quite a lot if not the vast majority he was substituted.

He's a terrific player but his complete inability to have a sustained run of fitness (for about the past 6 years!) means the chances of a lazarus type recovery simply isn't realistic.
If James can accept a role off the bench when we need quality to win games late, he could be massive for us

But in the time played was our best player. Let's hope he stays and his fitness has improved having a pre-season under his belt.
All parties have made such a colossal balls up of this situation that it seems unthinkable there’ll be any sort of climb down to a situation where James gets minutes for us.
It seems like we should be really focusing on getting him out to alleviate ourselves of his wages. I’d like to think that means the Diaz deal is on, but I doubt that too.
In short, I haven’t got a clue but my worry is we’ll be peddling this lad around Europe until the deadline and in so doing will miss out on our incoming targets.

Ancelotti set up a system that he thought would allow James to do what he needed to do on the ball. Benitez is unwilling to play with ten men when the ball has been lost though. That’s why the likes of Townsend and Gray are playing but Bernard is out the door, and Davies and Gomes aren’t featuring much. I’d be amazed if Siggurdson had featured either. Benitez has always valued power and pace across his entire team, he won’t indulge players who cannot close ground when we don’t have the ball.
I like James more than the majority on here, he’s a wondrous player but I don’t think he wants to be here without Carlo, and I don’t think Benitez wants him here so this is best for both parties.
