From a pure technique level, I thought there were some mistakes in this game and the last one versus West Ham. Don't know if its the weather, or playing 3 times in one week or even if he's had no one at his level challenging him, probably a combination of all these things.
A couple of things that really impressed me yesterday - he has incredible composure. He knows he'll get marked out at certain points of the game, but he plays what the defence gives him and never really forces anything, and he's so decisive in punishing mistakes. He's just waiting for one or two openings to kill the game. Look at the third goal, he went from defending to counter attacking so fast.
This transfer has worked out well for everyone and you can see it on the pitch. Sometimes you might get a superstar coming into the team and doing it for themselves. I think all the other players can see what a talent James is straight away, and that he sat on a bench for 2 years and that he's deservedly getting a chance to play. In the 5 games James has been so unselfish on the pitch setting his other teammates up, not just goals, but setting them up for assists. Yesterday's fourth, Doucoure could easily have taken a shot but pulled it back. They know James has given a lot to the team, and they're giving it back. And I think they know if James drags Everton up the table, everyone at the club wins.
Also my James shirt finally arrived.
