That claim just felt so unlikely I had to go through the stats, out of our wins last season James played in 8 of them and didn't play in 7 of them, so it's close, but he contributed to 15 goals, turning defeats into draws, turning draws into victories, out of our points total of 59 last year he was involved in games where we got 33 of those points. I think it's massively important to note that he is not some sort of lazy passenger.

Also when he's on the pitch he isn't some lazy stroll around hide from the ball tit like he who shall not be named. He constantly looks for the ball annd wants to drive us forward. Give me that for 25 games this season than iwobi getting the ball and falling over himself or going backwards

I’m genuinely interested. Can anyone come up with a scenario where a player jumped on a jet during a match of consequence and took off so he could prepare for an international match? Specifically one where he didn’t have to miss the club match but just chose to?

Then bonus points for a scenario where the fans begged for him back and insisted he was committed to the club.

If he plays 20-25 games this season then no i don't care because that means for at least 20 games i don't have to watch Alex Iwobi do absolutely nothing but infuriate the fanbase by doing absolutely nothing worthwhile. It also means i get to watch a genuinely top class footballer play for my football club live at Goodison Park and win us points along the way, something most of our other turgid players don't do.

There is not. However if they play much of a season it helps. He is superb when fit. They want rid because his wages could pay three decent players. It is about building a team. If money was no object you would never sell him.

Does my head in seeing people siding with Benitez over this where it’s very clearly an issue he himself has with James. I’d have no problems if he wanted a squad clear out and saw James as someone that’d maybe get a chunk of change but he and Kean are the only 2 exits that have been talked about despite the squad literally having at least 7 or 8 others who contribute nothing or negatively.

As I said James is worthless to transfer because his fee will be low and he’ll need replacing anyway. At least in theory selling Kean should be profitable but no ones gonna pay the money we want. So we’ll get rid of both hypothetically for £40m total, then having Delph, Tosun, Davies, Kenny, Iwobi, Gomes, Keane and more taking up 10x the wages of the 2 lads we’d sell and literally contributing 10x less on the field.

For the love of god we’ve all seen Gbamin in pre season and thought he was decent despite him being broken in half the last 2 years, fair play to him for coming back but how dire must our midfield be where a lad who’s lucky his career wasn’t ended can come back and outclass 5 others who’ve played there consistently over that time, and yet in that very same midfield I just mentioned JAMES RODRIGUEZ is deemed not good enough or has too poor an attitude.

This club winds me up to no end mate. I could honestly rant all day.
