That Charlton goal wasnt even my favourite! His goal against Fulham was brilliant! I remember seeing a youtube video of him when he was younger playing for some diffferent team and he scored an ibrahimovic-esque goal which was quality, shame i cant find it!

All well and good scoring from 30 yards but at the end of the day a goals a goal and James McFadden isn't going to offer many.

Surely he on £0 per week - he may want £25k but getting it is different. 12 month contract on £10k per week is still 1/2 a million a year!

To be fair...I did like him. He never really got a run.

He didnt like playing on the left and Moyes never played him up front...then Pienaar turned up so he went elsewhere. Which is fair play after being with us for a few seasons but never playing 1st team footy.

He's had the tricks to be a good attacking midfielder but was never given a run at it.

Dont want him back like but still...

Never was a centre forward for me TBF like he maintained always a winger.

Started off fantastic in his debut (against Leeds IIRC), and went quickly downhill from there.

Giving him a contract even at 10k a week, would be 10k a week too much.

I think that's the reason he's currently without a club. Someone like Norwich might be prepared to pay him close to what he has been getting, because he'll be a first team player. It would be too demoralising for him to accept such a low wage to join us.
