James McCarthy

Koeman's lost the plot here. He needs to shut up and so does O'Neill, but its always Koeman that ramps it up. In a week where Coleman is lying flat on his back in a hospital bed it is the most disgraceful bit of Everton management I've ever witnessed. That lad's career is in the balance and all he can do is to keep a feud going with his international team mate and manager.

Just STFU and let it rest.

Is there anyone down there at that club with the balls to read him the riot act on this? Doesn't look like.

Koeman seems a pragmatic fellow. If McCarthy is properly fit before the end of the season, and useful to the squad he will be picked.

He will also likely be gone in the summer. And not playing him to prevent further injury that would hinder a sale is also a high possibility.

Imagine HK getting into this over McCarthy?

'kin ell.

This feller reading Benitez type cringeworthy scripts in a press conference trying to score petty points.

Un-'kin-real.

Said it before the Irish FA treat McCarthy as if he's centrally contracted to them similar to the way the England cricket team operates. They have a duty of care to the player's employer, which they blatantly ignored.

He also took him off after about 25 mins in an early game (West Brom I think), totally embarrassed the lad.
Was that the game where Koeman acknowledged he got his tactics wrong, we were playing really badly and were 1-0 down, he changed it and we went on to win? Was it that one?

Should have spared Mccarthy's blushes at the expense of Everton?

Can I ask a serious question here: is anybody actually happy about this continuing embarrassing and classless public spat?

The state of you bringing Kendall into it. As if anyone is going to get involved in that debate. Your head has completely fallen off this last week.

That was true. RK got his line up totally wrong in that game, had to change the system and McCarthy was sacrificed for Lukaku. I don't think it was as early as 25 minutes but it was before half time. You feel for the player in those circumstances but a change was required and we won the game from a losing position. But it wasn't personal against McCarthy. Koeman did the same thing, making half time changes of Barkley against Sunderland and Holgate against Stoke. Again, it wasn't personal and the players are all professionals and should understand that.
