Oh yeah. Tough call really, he is ours though, and that shouldn't really matter, but it makes me feel a bit better to suggest!

Agreed mate, I want to see him being s little bit more offensive when on the ball and take a few pots at goal. I think there's an even better player waiting to come out and hopefully that will come with experience.

Yep Barry for me too. Think he has been outstanding. He sees everything around him before receiving the ball, a true quality very few have. All the years I've thought he was ****e and he's been an absolute revelation. For me, Martinez's best signing so far because the only flaw I can see is lack of pace and that's something he doesn't rely on. Top player, top pro and we all infinitely better for having him.

True mate but I think just because Barry is the finished article and has been there and done it he gets my vote so far. He's a winner and I think that will rub off on the players. The last title winner we had in the middle of the park was a certain Phil Neville who sometimes **** himself when on the ball and took 3 touches to get the ball under control. Barry has already thought of his pas before he's got the ball, covers the back line superbly and very very rarely gives the ball away. Certainly a great role model for James to play alongside which will benefit us long term

Hahaha, can laugh about that now. In all honesty I'm just made up we have two central midfielders that can tackle, enforce and dominate. Last seen in 86, and then ten years later with Parkinson and Horne/Ebbrell.

Good call regarding Parkinson era mate as that was a strong midfield who took no ****. Horne wasn't the most gifted player but done his job very very well. Thought Parkinson was a superb midfielder. ****ing hell, such a long time since our last bit of silverware when u think about it. Hopefully Bobby will sort that **** out pronto!!

Good shout actually mate.he's exceeded my expectations already for the season and I found myself at the match against Sunderland constantly shouting "give it to Ross" 2nd half. Just ****ing man love Barry so much ( anyone who does a clearance on his debut like he did against Chelsea ) is gonna get some man love for the rest of the season.
