The lad has made a bright start to his Everton career, RM wants him to be one of a two who sit just in from of the centre halves alongside Barry or Gibson.

He is not the type of player who is going to win us games in an attacking way but his workrate and discipline allows the likes of Barkley more freedom and allows Coleman and Baines to get forward more.

I like the lad.

I can't remember who it was giving me dogs abuse in the transfer window for saying Barry and McCarthy would be our best cm pairing...he was seething. I thnk he just registered to fume at those two players.

He's probably drinking meths sat in a wheelie bin right now.

Gonna be a top player for many years. Suits our team "now" playing that role better than fellaini would of done IMO.

If he'd of had inhio on the end of his name, and come from Brazil, Portugal, Spain, Germany etc people would of been singing from the roof tops. 13M or whatever it was really isn't a massive fee in this day and age.
