A tad far fetched to be a fair point, no? Rocks and tigers are completely unrelated, injuries and the medical team are not.

I think its really important for a player like McCarthy to come back only when he is 100% up to speed. He relies so much on his stamina and so even if he is only a little short of full fitness, it will have a huge impact on his game I guess thats why he was left out against crystal palace. Hope he is back this weekend.

Last time we put a team out against these with half fit players we got bummed 4-0, there's very little point risking losing him for the rest of the season and handicapping ourselves deliberately for such a big game.

Hopefully Martinez has learnt from past mistakes on this..
