Maybe so. But my reaction was one of surprise, and I immediately questioned the reasoning behind dropping McCarthy and playing with three wingers. I'd have had Naismith and McCarthy on from the start. It was a bloody stupid decision, no matter how encouraging Martinez has been at times this season.

I understand (and I'm not saying you're wrong by the way.)

I just think a lot of us saw the attacking intent without possibly considering the potential downfalls (which were exposed tonight) and got a bit excited.
