James McCarthy

I wish him good luck, and good success, seemed a hard worker that played hard, he was just done in by Martin ONeil and his refusal to man up and learn when to protect himself. He was a big part of his own struggles by his refusal to...well...refuse to play when he wasnt fit yet.

Agree with this to a certain extent, but blame O'Neil and Keane two utter Neanderthals for playing McCarthy and Coleman when they were no where near fit. Destroyed McCarthy's career and done their level best to ruin Coleman's as well, definitely a bullying culture when they were in charge at the Republic of Ireland.

£8.5 million is incredibly good deal for us given McCarthy’s injury record and being in the last year of his contract. Brands is clearly a beast of a negotiator.

So is this connected to, or unofficially connected to, or not connected at all to Zaha?
I think it’s just an out and out deal but hopefully we can broker a deal for Zaha we need to terrify defences with him, kean, richarlison and iceman behind them. With Bernard to come off the bench wow

I would chauffeur him to the medical just in case he gets an injury on the way down there.

Good deal for us this and more dead wood on its way out.

I don't know what it is, but I feel we should be getting more money for our players.:
Vlasic, Lookman, Gueye, Henry, now Mccarthy all sold/being sold, on the cheap.

I think we could of got 10 for Mccarthy.

I’m surprised we’re getting any money for McCarthy, never mind £8.5m.
