We can't rely on McCarthy after such a long lay off will take him a season to get fully match fit again if he does not get re- injured before then, will never be the same player...

I remember the day we signed him and it was like £6m or something and thinking it was maybe a risk, then it came out at like £11m and being like ‘who even is he?!’

Rodriguez was a proper punt though. Didn't cost us much (250k maybe?). I like a good punt.
